July 21- Northern Tier – Ludington – Luther , Mi 59 miles

We have been on Route 20 in most of the States we have traveled on….           Rain, rain go away had 50 to do today.  59 actually and it rained for most all of it.  We’ve been spoiled by mostly great weather so can’t complain.
Stopped for lunch and a break from the rain in Sauble, MI at Bender’s bar.  Being cold from the rain we had hot soup and grilled cheese sandwiches.  The waitress set up a fan for us and we put our rain jackets on chairs in front of the fan to dry.  She also pointed us to some sweaters and jackets hanging on a coat rack that we could use to warm up.  All 5 of us put something on and, most of us, left the clothes there.
We are staying outside of Luther, MI at a retreat run by Hillsdale College.  It is a beautiful place and the room is huge with 2 double beds, sitting area, fireplace and kitchenette.
Tomorrow…..cops and donuts in Clare, MI.
