Today was a beautiful morning with “beach sand-like clouds”. It had been a cold night but I got my older sleeping bag sent to me by Paul and I am so much warmer.  We all headed out this morning south east towards Tillamook and saw many fighting boats on the river. This is a good time to catch salmon. We past by many fishing villages going up and down along the inlets. There is a lot of climbing each day. We reached Tillamook Cheese factory and stopped to taste the cheese and have ice cream! I had a white chocolate raspberry   Ice cream- delicious! We then headed toward Cape Meares and climbed up a very high hill to get on the other side of the mountainish hill ! The road had had a big wash out and was closed but bikes were allowed to go over. It was over a mile of climbing. But on the other side was the ocean with houses perched on the tall hills. They must have phenomenal views! Once we made it down we headed up towards Cape Lookout. Just as we got in it started to rain so I quickly put it up with the help of Ann. The rain didn’t last too long and I was able to get a quick shower before dinner which was sweet potato and veggie soup. Quite delicious! I was also able to walk along the beach in the sun as it came back out. Sunset was quite nice as the afterglow seem to last quite a while.

it was a great day!
